Designations

Designations are the job titles you assign to employees — for example "Sales Executive" or "HR Manager". Each one can be linked to a department and a designation level. Open the screen from the left menu under Settings → Master Data → Designations.

  1. Master Data — Open the Master Data group in the menu.

  2. Designations — Then choose Designations.

  3. Add New — Click Add New at the top right.

  4. Name — Required. The designation name (e.g. Senior Engineer).

  5. Department — Pick the department this designation belongs to.

  6. Save — Save the designation.

  7. Edit — Click the edit (pencil) on a row to update the designation.

What you'll see

The list shows these columns:

  • Id
  • Name
  • Code
  • Department
  • Level — the designation level, or N/A if none is set
  • KYC — Enabled or Disabled
  • Status — Active or Inactive
  • Actions — edit and delete

Adding a designation

  1. Click Add New.
  2. In the Add Designation panel, enter a Name and a Code.
  3. Optionally choose a Department.
  4. Optionally choose a Designation Level.
  5. Optionally add Notes.
  6. Use the KYC Enabled switch if people with this designation need to complete KYC.
  7. Use the Status switch to set whether the designation is active.
  8. Click Save.

Editing or removing a designation

  • Click the pencil icon on a row to open the Edit Designation panel, make your changes, and click Update.
  • Click the delete icon and confirm in the dialog ("This will permanently delete the designation") to remove it.

  • The Designation Level you pick here is what drives travel and expense rules tied to levels — see Designation levels and Expense policies.
  • Use the search box above the list to find a designation by name or code.
