Availability

The Employee Lifecycle area may not be turned on for your company yet. If you don't see it in your menu, it isn't enabled — check with your HR or IT team.

Extending a probation

  1. In the left menu, open Employee Lifecycle and choose Probations.
  2. On the employee's row, click the extend (calendar) button in the Actions column. A panel slides in.
  3. Fill in:
    • New End Date — the new probation end date.
    • Reason — why the probation is being extended.
  4. Click Extend. The row's status becomes Extended and the new date shows under Extended End Date.

Confirming the employee

  1. On the employee's row, click the confirm (check) button in the Actions column.
  2. A confirmation dialog appears explaining that this routes the probation through your company's Probation Confirmation Approval workflow.
  3. Click Submit.

Once every required approver has approved, the employee is confirmed as permanent and the row's status becomes Confirmed. The approver's name appears under Reviewed By.

Tips
