super admin. Availability depends on your company's configuration.

Organization apps

The Organization Apps screen is where you register other company apps so people can open them and sign in through Open Core HR. Registered apps can also appear in the app switcher. Open it from Organization Apps in the left menu, under the Settings heading. This screen is for super admins only.

  1. Organization Apps — Open Organization Apps from the menu.

What you'll see

A table of registered apps with these columns:

  • ID
  • Name
  • Slug — the short identifier for the app.
  • URL — the app's web address.
  • Color — the colour swatch used for the app.
  • Status — Active or Inactive.
  • Sort Order — the position used when the app is listed.
  • Actions — a pencil button to edit, and a trash button to remove the app.

Use the search box above the table to filter.

Adding an app

  1. Open Organization Apps from the left menu.
  2. Click Add App.
  3. In the panel that slides in, fill in:
    • Name (required) — the slug is filled in for you from the name, but you can change it.
    • Slug (required)
    • Description (optional)
    • URL (required) — the app's address.
    • Color — pick a colour or enter a hex value.
    • Sort Order
    • Active — whether the app is enabled.
    • Visible — whether the app shows in the app switcher.
  4. Click Create.
  5. A dialog titled OAuth Client Created shows the new app's Client ID and Client Secret. Copy both now — the secret won't be shown again. Use the copy buttons next to each value, then click Done.

These credentials are what the other app uses to connect to Open Core HR for sign-in.

Editing an app

  1. Click the pencil button on the app's row.
  2. Change the details in the slide-in panel.
  3. Click Update.

Removing an app

  1. Click the trash button on the app's row.
  2. Confirm in the Delete App dialog. The app's sign-in connection is removed as well, and this can't be undone.

Tips

  • Save the Client ID and Client Secret somewhere safe when you create an app — there's no way to see the secret again afterwards.
  • Turn an app Inactive or Visible: off if you want to keep it registered but not have people use it or see it in the switcher.
