Asset documents

Attach files to an asset — purchase invoices, warranty certificates, manuals, and more — so they're kept alongside the asset record.

  1. Asset Management — Open the Asset Management group in the menu.
  2. All Assets — Then choose All Assets.

Steps

View documents

  1. In the left menu, open Asset Management → All Assets.
  2. Open the asset's details (the view / eye action).
  3. Scroll to the Documents card. Each file shows its name, type, and size. Click a file name to open it in a new tab.

Upload a document

  1. On the asset's details page, in the Documents card, click the File picker and choose a file.
  2. Choose a Type — Invoice, Warranty, Manual, or Other.
  3. Click Upload.

Delete a document

  1. In the Documents card, click the delete (trash) action next to the file.
  2. Confirm by clicking Delete. The file is permanently removed.

What you'll see

The uploaded file appears in the Documents list, and the upload is added to the Activity Timeline.

Tips

  • You can upload PDF, JPG, PNG, Word, and Excel files, up to 10 MB each.
  • The upload and delete controls only appear if you have permission to manage asset documents.

Troubleshooting

  • The upload is rejected — check the file type and that it's under the size limit, then try again.
  • "Pick a file to upload" — choose a file in the File picker before clicking Upload.
