No-dues clearances

When an employee leaves, each relevant department signs off that the employee has no outstanding dues with them. Together these make up the employee's No Dues Certificate (NDC). The NDC screen is a worklist of these department clearances — one row per department per separating employee.

Availability

The Employee Lifecycle area may not be turned on for your company yet. If you don't see it in your menu, it isn't enabled — check with your HR or IT team.

Steps

  1. In the left menu, open Employee Lifecycle and choose NDC.
  2. Use the search box or the status filter (which defaults to Pending) to find clearances waiting on you.
  3. For a pending clearance, click Process to record your decision — see Managing no-dues clearances.

What you'll see

Each row shows:

  • Employee — the separating employee's name, photo and code.
  • Department — the department whose sign-off this row is for: HOD, Accounts, IT or HR.
  • Last Working Day — the employee's last day.
  • Status — Pending, Cleared or Rejected.
  • Actions — a Process button for pending clearances.

An employee's exit can't move past the no-dues stage until all of their department clearances are dealt with.
