Warnings

The Warnings screen lists every disciplinary warning in the system. From here you can filter and search the list, open a warning's details, work on drafts, and start the process of issuing a new warning.

  1. Disciplinary Actions — Open the Disciplinary Actions group in the menu.
  2. Warnings — Then choose Warnings.

Steps

  1. Open Disciplinary Actions → Warnings from the left menu. The page is titled Warnings.
  2. Use the toolbar above the table to narrow the list (see below).
  3. Click the view (eye) button on a row to open a warning's details.
  4. To raise a new one, click Issue Warning — see Issuing a warning.

Filtering and searching

The toolbar above the table has:

  • An All Employees picker to show warnings for one employee.
  • An All Types dropdown to filter by warning type.
  • An All Statuses dropdown with: Issued, Acknowledged, Appealed, Appeal Approved, Appeal Rejected, Withdrawn, Expired.
  • A Search warnings... box that matches the warning number, the reason text, the employee's name or code, and the warning type name.

You can also sort by the Warning No., Issue Date, and Status columns.

What you'll see

Each row shows:

  • Employee — who the warning was issued to.
  • Warning No. — the warning's reference number.
  • Type — the warning type.
  • Severity — Low, Medium, High, or Critical, shown as a coloured badge (inherited from the warning type).
  • Issue Date — when it was issued.
  • Expires — the expiry date, if one was set.
  • Status — the current status badge (Draft, Pending Approval, Issued, Acknowledged, Appealed, Appeal Approved, Appeal Rejected, Withdrawn, or Expired).
  • Actions — the view (eye) button on every row. For warnings still in Draft status, and if you have the edit permission, you'll also see an edit (pencil) button and a submit (send) button to push the draft into the approval workflow.

Tips

  • A warning isn't issued until it has gone through its approval workflow. New warnings start as a draft, then get submitted for approval — see Issuing a warning.
  • Use the status filter to see what's awaiting approval (filter on Issued) versus what employees have already acknowledged (Acknowledged).
