Bonus cycles
The Bonus Cycles screen lists your bonus processing cycles. A cycle is a one-time bonus run — for example a year-end bonus — with a processing date and a default percentage that's applied to eligible employees. Once a cycle's bonuses are generated, the cycle is sent for approval.
Availability
The Employee Lifecycle area may not be turned on for your company yet. If you don't see it in your menu, it isn't enabled — check with your HR or IT team.
Steps
- In the left menu, open Employee Lifecycle and choose Bonus Cycles.
- Use the search box to find a cycle.
- Use the Actions buttons on a row to generate the bonuses for a draft cycle, or submit a generated cycle for approval.
What you'll see
Each row shows:
- Name — the cycle's name.
- Year — the year the cycle is for.
- Processing Date — when the bonuses are processed.
- Default % — the default bonus percentage applied to eligible employees.
- Status — see below.
- Bonus Count — how many bonus entries have been generated for the cycle.
- Actions — generate bonuses or submit for approval, depending on status.
Statuses
- Draft — created but bonuses not yet generated.
- Generated — bonus entries have been created for eligible employees.
- Pending Approval — the cycle has been submitted through the approval workflow.
- Completed — the cycle has been approved and processed.
