Separations

The Separations screen lists every employee exit your team is handling — whether the employee resigned (relieving) or was let go (termination). A separation moves through approval, notice period, no-dues clearances and final settlement before it's completed.

Availability

The Employee Lifecycle area may not be turned on for your company yet. If you don't see it in your menu, it isn't enabled — check with your HR or IT team.

Steps

  1. In the left menu, open Employee Lifecycle and choose Separations.
  2. Use the search box, the All Types filter or the All Statuses filter to narrow the list.
  3. For an Initiated or Rejected separation, click the send button in the Actions column to submit (or re-submit) it for approval.

What you'll see

Each row shows:

  • Employee — the employee's name, photo and code.
  • Type — Relieving or Termination.
  • Resignation Date — the date the resignation/exit was recorded.
  • Notice Period — the notice period in months.
  • Last Working Date — the employee's last day.
  • Status — see below.
  • Actions — submit/re-submit for approval, where applicable.

Statuses

  • Initiated — recorded but not yet submitted for approval.
  • Pending Approval — submitted and waiting on approvers.
  • Rejected — an approver rejected it; HR can address the notes and re-submit.
  • Notice Period — approved; the employee is serving notice.
  • NDC Pending — waiting on departments to complete no-dues clearances.
  • Settlement Pending — waiting on the final settlement.
  • Completed — the exit is fully processed.
